Well, let us see if that is a misprint from EMI.

Yep we have discussed this already and we think asian kid simply was not around when they made the album but was there for picture taking day.

To be fair its a bad photo you cant even see Ed's face. Could be as simply as that.

There is a side to that, actually. Since Ed is looking down and his face could not be easily seen.

I don't agree because they already released the picture. Change it before it's released if that is the reason. Paste in another picture of Ed's face if that is the reason. Why put in a different kid?

Clearly that is not the reason that Ed was replaced.

im sorry Dani...but its so clearly photoshopped which actually does make me aggravated. and half the boys in that picture are not soloists so it cant be the fact to give soloists more limelight.

I'm just really peeved at the whole photoshop thing going on here....it's the same with one of the other previously released pics with Ben, where it looked like Ben had been photoshopped into the picture.

I know that Jakob has been photoshopped in and i was explaining its not a clear photo of Ed and its probabley why they added a different photo.

Half Ed's face is covered so its clearly a bad photo.

Yes half of Ed's face is covered, but if you are looking at the pictures as a whole all together(I doubt you will see one with a couple of the others) you would see the two stairs pictures and ed clearly at the top, so by reason it would be Ed, you can still see part of his face to identify him though.

I don't think there's any malicious intent there. You could say it's the best of both worlds. Ed makes the intial promo pics, Jakob gets the final CD cover. All the boys get their pictures shown, inside the booklet.

Although EMI do enhance and manipulate their images quite alot. If you look at the cover of the eternal CD, the boys have been airbrushed of all their slight freckles and tiny spots. Still, welcome to world of digital imagery post-photoshop.

Dani, you may well be right - it might have been just aesthetic, a thoughtless PR person in EMI's design department might have wanted to make it look better. Maybe that is all it was. But changing a picture that was already released to the public to remove one of the most important members of recent years AND who doesn't happen to have any solos on this album?

I just can't accept that is right. In my opinion it is wrong and unacceptable. Whatever the reason, innocent or sinister, it just can't be right when you are dealing with kids.

I also think that EMI put Jakob instead because you can't really see Ed's face. Yeah it sucks that now we "know" the swapping happened because EMI was stupid enough to released the original photo.

And I think the EMI forgot to put one of the new boy's name by mistake. Can't see a reason to purposely leave him out.

You are correct about Eternal, IMO id rather it not have been airbrushed or photoshopped considering these boys are real and they should be portrayed the way they are. This is why I will NEVER be in marketing...

I would still be irked by the change but not as much if it didn't look so fake!

And I have a similar opinion that agrees with Yorkie. Kids, whether in their mid teens are highly influential....so even if Ed was told of this change and he said he understood it still may have hurt him mentally, and that is the aspect that I don't like.

Yep i am gutted he got no solos but nothing we can do sadly. The picture thing is odd but i think its just been touched up to look better. lol even Joshs hand is now missing, should we protest on behalf of Joshs hand as well?

For the record i hate that Eternal cover , why they could do a photo season is beyond me. Seems they spent very little money on that but are making a bigger effort with peace thankfully.
