Hmm....I can understand soy sauce, and I certainly would not spread it on my bread.Jude Andrew wrote:Ann, sometimes ignorance IS bliss.... certainly in this case ... but if you must...tcenrt wrote:Pardon my ignorance....what is marmite?

Sadly mushy peas can't really be enjoyed on their own - they are somewhat bland. I guess the benefit of them stems from ages past where a pea grown in summer could be dried for winter and turned in to a cheap filling dish. Not much need for that these days but I love 'em. Nice at Bonfire night with a nice growler.tcliffy wrote:I've never had mushy peas but I just found out our local "Publix" sells them. Guess what I'm going to be trying.
What about marmite. I've heard a lt of people here tried it when they went there and their tongues almost tried to commit suicide. They clearly didn't like it. I don't mind it spread thinly over toast.
Prominently mentioned in the movie V for Vengence.Yorkie wrote:Now I know your next question will be: what's a growler?
Well traditionally it's a Yorkshire word for an individual sized pork pie (picture can be seen here)......
