I love to watch ice hockey, and to play it too! I also love to swim, and I love watching swimming and diving during the Olympics. :)

I like to watch most sports but sadly I only play golf these days - knackered my knee playing football (soccer to those of you who know no better :D ) a few years back.

Of course all the worlds great sports are British (or stolen from us with a few tweaks added)..........

I love to watch soccer, and feel like a real outcast here in the states because I hate american football. I really enjoy watching all types of sports at the international level. when the olympics come around I am in heaven :D I can't wait for Vancouver 2010 so I can watch curling again. And the Little League World Series is fun to watch because those kids all play with so much emotion.

I like to play baseball and volleyball but never played on a competative team, just the Bar leagues 8) I used to swim and ocassionally still do  and I like the ocassional pickup soccer game although that doesn't happen too often around here.

Little League World Series - I never knew such a thing existed! That must be great to play in as a kid. What age is little league?

How come the great US of A is the only country in the world that just doesn't get soccer? Philistines :D

This '90's sketch from a UK show sums up everything you need to know about the history of the beautiful game.....

Don't feel too much like an outcast. I abhor American football. " Uhh coach, I got the ball, which way do I run duhhhhhhh" When I was in high school, to be in any of the concert bands, you had to be in marching band and you had to go to the football games to get your grade. While I did enjoy marching band, I sincerely had far better things to do on a Friday night than be completely bored for hours at a football game. And we couldn't even take a book along to pass the time. We had to pretend to be interested.
If anyone here is ever visiting me, don't expect to see football on my TV. Baseball only. And, even then, it has to be the right teams.

I'm not a fan. I know there is strategy involved in football, but it is usually very hard to spot it behind all the bashing into each other.

What do I think about football?

I don't mind it as it happens. I always watch the Superbowl. For my sins I'm a Bears fan (when 'American' football hit UK tv in the 80's they had William Perry playing for them - my kind of sportsman :D ).

I know feel sorely out done. Chances are, you know more about American football than me. And I am the American! However, if I had a favorite team, I think it would be the Bears, because my dad is from Chicago and he is a 'semi-fan' of the Bears.

Chalk me up as another American who isn't a football fan, but coincidentally, my uncle is also a fan of the Bears. My family used to watch the Super Bowl together. Honestly, I was only in it for the commercials and the pretzel sticks.
