Actually when we click on a link embed into a message, the new page is charged in the current Window and so we are no more on Libera Dreams.
Test with Goole.
To avoid to loose Libera Dreams, we have to do a right-click on the link / "Open in a new tab"
I think It would be would be more simple and user friendly to have automaticaly the links to open into a new tab when we click on them No ?
Links to open in a new Window ?

Agreed FDL - a few times I have been in the middle of composing a message, only to click a link within the message to test it, and then of course when I navigate back I've lost all the information. Would be better if a new window opened instead of taking you away from the forum.

Yes, I agree with you and this point is noted as a 'nice to have'.
I will follow up to this point when the new forum-style is setted up.

Yes i also agree, just for the record.viabuona wrote:Yes, I agree with you and this point is noted as a 'nice to have'.

Compared to phpBB3, links in phpBB2 had a slightly different behaviour: When you clicked them, they opened a new window with the requested page. This was changed in phpBB3 for a couple of reasons, but one of the most important ones was the goal to achieve XHTML 1.0 Strict-validation for the whole board.
There is a fairly simple workaround to change this, but for now untill we establish the new style I would right click on the links and open in new window / tab, just for now.

Are you saying the problem can't be solved in the current style?paul30003 wrote: There is a fairly simple workaround to change this, but for now untill we establish the new style I would right click on the links and open in new window / tab, just for now.

No!
There is a solution that can be used with any style

OK - so you just want to wait with that solution until the style has been finally decided upon. Which would probably be this stylepaul30003 wrote:maartendas wrote:Are you saying the problem can't be solved in the current style?paul30003 wrote: There is a fairly simple workaround to change this, but for now untill we establish the new style I would right click on the links and open in new window / tab, just for now.
