While looking at the News section of the official website, I just noticed a news item stating that Libera will be releasing a Christmas album later this year!

I think last year , having new songs and a few select xmas songs is a better idea than just an Xmas album personally.

I have to disagree. For one thing, the time of Christmas lasts till Epiphany (January 6). Plus I always skip the Christmas songs on their CDs outside that period, so to have a full album with them for that one special time a year would be great.
Yes it's cliche but it will no doubt push their sales - Libera are ideal for making a Christmas album and those always sell good, and even though there's a lot of competition they bring something new and fresh to the genre so they will stick out.

can't wait. it'll be Christmas early, and it'll get played by us right through to 6 January here, 'cause in Spain Epithany IS their Christmas, called Three Kings of course, so we get longer to play it than in UK where usually carols and Christmas songs are dead in the water after Boxing Day (26th for anyone not from uk). I dont care if we have the songs on AV3 it's a whole new group now, with diferent voices and inflections. Thanks Libera
