Songs of Praise 50th Anniversary celebration

So?....what's that got to with Libera...

They are taking part in it ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressr ... aise.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
To celebrate present and future inspirational singing, a specially brought together choir of approximately 200 will lead the hymns and support the solo artists from the stage. This group will feature members of some of the best youth choirs in the UK. This will include previous winners of the BBC Songs Of Praise School Choir of the Year, along with members of the Royal School of Church Music Millennium Youth Choir and all-boy vocal group Libera, who have taken part in many editions of Songs Of Praise throughout the years.
Where, when, Ticket info?? - http://www.alexandrapalace.com/whats-on ... lebration/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Why are they taking part as support choir, surely the programs most featured artist would qualify to sing their own song

My thoughts exactly, let's hope details change to accomodate this....but still at the end of the day at least they are taking part.

The concert will be broadcast on BBC One in early October.

By the way - for all you singers out there: ;)
There is also an exciting opportunity for experienced four-part harmony singers to attend, as part of the Songs Of Praise massed choir, to help lead favourite hymns and songs from designated seating in the audience in the Great Hall at Alexandra Palace. If you are a good, enthusiastic singer and would like to take part, please request an application form by emailing songsofpraisefifty@bbc.co.uk or by calling 0161 244 3473.

I wonder if anyone may advise as to the possibility via the internet to access the upcoming broadcast on September 25, of the "Songs of Praise " 50TH Anniversary Special, featuring Andre Bocelli along with Libera, along with other special guests and hosted by I assume Aled Jones?

Gerald.

I can't say for sure, but it is really unlikely. Even if they did broadcast it on BBC website the site would be able to detect that your computer is from the States (right?) and deny you access. There are ways to get software to confuse the site, but you would have to pay for most of them and this is still assuming that it was broadcast. (I hope that made sense...I am quite tired)

I'm actually having second thoughts about going as I still don't know
A) whether Libera will perform on their own (they probably will but it's a bit tricky that it's not announced)
and B) whether I CAN come.
Plus all things considered it's a little expensive for me right now for this kind of event. I'll decide this week for sure probably.
Also, a friend of mine who lives near Alexandra Palace and loves Libera, says he won't go because he doesn't like big crowds and apparently Alexandra Palace is huge. What are some of your experiences?
