I would like to start a game called liberICKSs, where one person starts of a song lyric, from then on the next person creates a song lyric that applies to the previous one. LETS START!! the name of the song is Libera-Dreams; Through Fan's Hearts.

A smiling ray of light renews, My internal joys abounding.

perhaps I shouldn't have added that final rhyme until the third line. Maybe someone should bump my line down one and add a second one, otherwise we'll have too many -ing words in the whole first part.

Oh me as well...my poetry makes Paula Nancy Milstone Jenning's of Sussex look like John Milton (and if you get that joke, you too are geeky  )

after following my own editing advice...

A smiling ray of light renews, My internal joys abounding.
A flame in my heart dost pursue, the song of life resounding.
When dawn transcends the sky above, Angelic hosts' songs resounding.

*again, let me know if I'm not making any sense and feel free to delete or change my not so poetic genius. I'm a fiction writer, not a poet or songwriter. I wonder if Libera would sing something we write, if it's good enough.

I think you should try to move away from the rhyming thing.... it will make life difficult. Very few songs rhyme; they just kinda flow, don't they??. Not that I am one to critisize having contributed exactly zero

lol, no problem. I don't have much time at the moment but feel free to delete what I've written and write something else. This is supposed to be a game for everyone, is it not? Well then, let's get busy.

Starting Over...

I agree that you shouldn't try to rhyme, from my observations on libera's songs they all have the same number of syllables besides the bridge of the song or chorus.

ex. The song sempiterna, each line share 8 syllables each.(please don't mind that each last word ends with um.)

Conditor alme siderum
Aeterna lux credentium
Christe redemptor omnium
Exaudi preces supplicum

well, provided I counted right, there are 16 syllables in the line already created, so get going 8)

I think it would be interesting if perhaps we revived this and once the song is finished, those of us with recording equipment on our computers can record yourself singing the song, send it to me, and I'll mix them all up thus creating the Libera Dreams choir.

Anyone else want to have a go at writing a lyric?

From where candid left off... (perhaps we should start over?)
Faithful praise eternally rise, Holy blessings falling freely.
