Finish listen to the album just now. all I'm going to say is that the future of Libera looks amazing bright with the new Choristers. Ralph, Jacob and Stefan exceed my expectation on how smooth and controlled they are with their vocal abilities. Their vocal are amazing; ranging from tenor to sopranos effortlessly.

My favorite songs from Peace are:

Lead Kindly Light (Jacob): someone went crazy high at the end

The Fountain (Ralph): had the same feeling when I heard Josh sing the first time. What a sweet voice.
How Shall we sing that Majesty (Stefan)
Adoro Te
Touch the Sky (mini James)
This song is so pure and truth. One of the kind in all Libera Songs

this album Peace is a start of a new era for Libera. Post-Tom as I said LOL

Well I had half a day at work, they let me go early

No CD waiting for me, so I downloaded it from Amazon.

Initial thoughts;

My standout favourite is Adore Te (I love the plainchant in this - in future I hope they do a dedicated Gregorian Chant album. Strips everything down to their vocals in the purest form)

I like Ave Virgo and Faithful Heart, and I think Touch the Sky has a cute factor about it. Mini James did really well with that solo for his age, and some excellent harmony support from Mini-to-Medium Ben and Jakob.

I do like all the other songs, but I'm not blown away by them at the moment. New songs tend to work their way onto me after a few listens.

My favourites are How Shall We Sing, Lead Kindly Light and The Fountain at the mo.

Im not over keen on Touch the Sky - reminds me abit of "im dreaming of a white xmas"!!

Any one else wondered why there are no solos from Flynn? After his rendition of May the Road, I would have thought he would have def got one!

I really want to hear them do Gregorian chant without any accompaniment. There are so many lovely Gregorian chants out there like Tantum Ergo, Victimae Paschali Laudes, Veni Creator Spiritus, and loads more. I'm so used to hearing them sung by men with deep voices that I'd really love to hear more of Libera's version of these.

A pipe dream, but well, I can dream.haha

Yes, that would be great. Maybe they could invite some older boys back as a special one-off and have a 40+ strong choir boys & men. Then again I think I've been smoking the same pipe as you

I'm sure we will be first in line for that CD. Seriously though, the amount of material that they could work with is so huge with that one. And it would really be Libera - Unplugged.

i love all the new songs bar Lacrymosa (just beacuse weve heard it before) and touch the sky i think mini james did really well in it though but i just cant seem to enjoy it.

i like all of the songs i dot have the cd yet i am looking forword to geting it soon nice video of libera and wonderfull boys

i don't have the CD yet, but i've listened to Touch The Sky at amazon and it almost instantly sky-rocketed to the top of my favourite tracks in Peace (The Fountain being the second most favourite)

Ben crawley really did a great job in creating the music, and of course mini James's solo is simply sincere.

First impressions:

- There's nothing that I don't love about the CD. Yes, even the remake of Lacrymosa. There just isn't a song that I didn't like immediately.

- It's really much different from a CD. I notice more of the layering of voices. I now notice Josh singing under Ben in Time, too.

- The Singapore release doesn't include the Bonus Track, which I don't mind since I already have it.

- Exsultate still puts a big silly grin on my face.

- It's very difficult to pick a favorite song. Hmm...maybe...Adoro te Devote. Although the way they phrase the third line in the verses sounds a little awkward for me, it really is such a beautiful hymn. And I love the one liners that they add into the original hymn.

- Jakob's voice sounds so much like Josh.

- All the soloists did a wonderful, wonderful job. I think my favorite still remains Ralph's solo in The Fountain although it's very short. I do hope we hear more from him before his voice changes.

- My favorite line right now is "I do not ask to see the distant scene, one step enough for me."

- Can mini James be any cuter? Oh man, and the way they ended Touch the Sky...magic.

- If they include these songs in the new concerts, I'd probably end each half with Exsultate and How Shall I Sing because of the incredibly high endings.

I guess I'll post more about each song tomorrow. For now, those are my first impressions. Gotta sleep now.

I'll let you know when I eventually buy a copy what my thoughts are (I know you are all hanging on by a thread for them). But I can't bring myself to buy it just yet when I think the whole thing is run more like the Moonies than the von Trapps

Do you think Mini James could pull off 'Touch the Sky' live in concert. I know he did a mini duet with Freddie last year with 'Prayer'but it would be a big ask for him to sing a dedicated solo infront of a live audience at his tender age. Who knows, maybe?

Ahh, Jimmy. If only money was the issue it would be an easy problem to solve. I fear the album may never be one I'll like in truth.

I've got to say, it's not quite knocking New Dawn off the perch as my most favourite Libera album. There are still some great songs on the CD though.
