CD+DVD does sound like a Japanese/Korean special edition of the album with the DVD contains promotional video(s).dani wrote:At moment i am going with studio as it is tied with with Peace and i am also assuming you will then get some bonus tracks - so i think it will be some videos and then a few new songs to make it a deluxe version. That could be why there are only 12/13 tracks on this album.libera36 wrote:I'm so excited!I wonder if it will be a studio produced DVD or a live recording?
okay, so...i listened to that little clip of Ave Virgo, and HOLY SMOKES it sounds like Tom Cully.
i'd be 100% convinced that it was him -- if only his voice wasn't broken. maybe the recording was done a long time ago? but then it seems weird for someone to be on the same album singing tenor and soprano parts.
i suppose it could be Mature Ed...but man, Mature Ed sounds like Tom. lol.
well, now i REALLY can't wait until March. and then a DVD?! man, they're just spoiling us this year.

I believe you can just insert the album into your computer. I went to the website written at the back of my case (Eternal album) and then I was prompted to insert the disc and was able to listen to the new tracks.katyafan wrote:EMI didn't send me the email yet--can anyone post a link, or is it just through the CD?.
so excited! any DVD, any video, will be so amazing!!!!!!!!!

I KNOW! It's amazing. I really wasn't expecting a new album, much less a DVD, this year, as Libera is undergoing a major "changing of the guard". I thought I'd have to wait at least until 2011, and now I am delighted that I don't have to! I am definitely going to buy the DVD when it comes out, although I hope someone here posts a reminder when the time gets closer because I'd hate to forget it. And I think "Ave Virgo" is Ed, even if it did sound like Tom at first. The thing that tipped me off was the diction. To me, Ed's diction (just like Mini-Ben's) is distinct. Well, so is Tom's, but you know what I mean. If it is Ed on that song, he sounds SO AMAZING. I hope he has more solos as a last hurrah before the voice break (whenever that happens).

just thought i would share what i thought while listening to the new tracks.
ave virgo- does sound a ton like tom cully. but i do think it's ed cause there are a few characteristics of his voice that are consistent with this recording. him and tom have always matched voices together well. they often sang the same voice part and did duets together.
exsultate- i like that they mix it up with an up beat song! i was so surprised when it started to play. although they make beautiful music, the boys probably get bored with singing the long lyrical phrases all of the time. i know my choir does. the soloist sounds like it may be ben. the way he says "music" haha. i do agree with what i think dani, if i remember right, said. it might sound a little less harsh with a younger boy singing it. just the timbre. although the tempo, notes, intervals, and diction may have made it harder for a younger boy to be consistent on. but this realllly sounds like a song you would hear on an early album.
lacrymosa- the new intro to the song is nice. i'm not sure on the soloist for this one. i think it may boy who we haven't heard solo in concerts before. he seems to say a few words different than ben when he sang it. whom ever is singing it now could have modeled their solo off of ben's. ya never know. who ever this soloist is, his voice has a sweet, calm timbre. i like it!
the fountain- beautiful! for soloist, i can see where someone said they thought it could possibly be liam before his voice fully changed. i could see that as well. at times the timbre of the soloists voice reminds me of ben crawley.(particularly ben c's voice on nunc dimittis ccompared to this song.) on the high octave for the duet i'm thinking it's miniben, or maybe kavana or stefan. wouldn't it be great if someone completely unexpected were to be singing the lower solo...prehaps sam leggett! haha that would be interesting!
overall i love the incorporation of the lower voices!!!!!!! they help to build great full sounding chords. i can't wait for this album

Chills across the board, I love the ALL of them, cannot wait until March. Ave Virgo is definitely Ed, very strong too and Ed like ::chills::
Exsultate- sounds like an older boy song, def Ben and Ed, but dare i say with Not only Tom, but possibly Big Ben and Steven? Those low voices are VERY prominent
Lacrymosa is DEFINITELY Ben, the arrangement is slightly different, but its def Ben with his more mature voice and it sounds sooo GOOD! It's still still light and wispy in good ole Ben fashion. Personally i prefer Mini-Ben singing this than Big Ben. But it sounds they recorded this in between O Santissma and Time....
The Fountain I'm going to say the soloist is Alex because from a couple reviews of the phillipines Alex sounded like Tom with his own flavor. I've noticed that not only does Josh have a sweet voice, but Sam does to, so im going to assume its a family trait and they all have that sweet honey feel to their voices, and this soloist has it. It could also be Jakob, but I'm counting more towards Alex possibly because he's slightly older.

I also do not believe Tom's voice is still that high....and his diction was very good HOWEVER Tom had a certain way he would sing(and he seemed to have done this for YEARS) he would always do a small crescendo in most of the beginnings or endings of words which caused me to make him the soloist least plausible, and Ed's way of singing is a bit more smoother i guess. They both definitely sounded the same, but their styles were entirely different.

For all those who can't access the 'opendisc' feature, or have just got fed up with it asking for your password, favourite city, date of birth, etc....everytime you log-in;
Ave Virgo.mp3 - 3.55MB
Exsultate.mp3 - 3.44MB
Lacymosa.mp3 - 3.28MB
The Fountain.mp3 - 3.26MB
Enjoy!
P.S. I'm so eager to learn who the soloist is on 'The Fountain' because the voice is crackerjack as far as I'm concerned, and if it's a relative new soloist, then I can see him being a big player in future songs/performances by Libera. We might have discovered another truly exceptional soloist here. If it's already an established soloist, then they have just added another bow to their already impressive record in the group.

Thanks! Frankly I'm sick of being asked questions even after I've told them to remember me!JimmyRiddle wrote:For all those who can't access the 'opendisc' feature, or have just got fed up with it asking for your password, favourite city, date of birth, etc....everytime you log-in;

Thank you so much for that!! I get all my albums from iTunes so wouldnt have been able to listen otherwise!
I cant believe how much ave virgo sounds like Tom! It could have been recorded before his voice changed?
Bens voice sounds much more mature in Lacrymosa from last time as well!
I think The Fountain sounds abit like Flynn or Alex though I would like it to be Jakob so we could hear his voice!

I really think it is a new, but not-so-new boy. The low notes sounds too controlled. But his voice obviously hasn't broken yet. So maybe he's 12/13?JimmyRiddle wrote: P.S.
