The real money is in touring and live concerts........DVD's and CD's don't really generate much money at all.........it can all be downloaded for free.

The problem Libera has is that whatever their contract is....it's not good....EMI probably definitely takes the Lions share of the revenue generated from the live shows...........and is the main reason why people aren't allowed to record live performances as that would hinder the ticket sales to the concerts.......which is why Libera needs private sponsors and donations.........

Don't you think it's funny how the Official Libera page urges us fans to post their videos all over youtube.......yet we are prohibited to record a concert???? It's all about Emi and making money.....

To be fair its the same with any business . EMI are on to a good thing as they dont have to pay the boys apart from when they cut a cd .

We're not going to be able to agree on this point until I see evidence of that.

EMI wasn't even able to deliver their latest release for sale on the tour (so far). Knowing some of the work being done by anonymous volunteers, I am not confident at all that this corporate support you speak of already exists else these people's service would not be needed.

Bob wrote:The discussion was quite interesting. I hope I have understood everything correctly.

By the way: LIBERA is Latin and means free.

which also means the freedom of others to have a different opinion

which also means the freedom to tell other opinions

which means the freedom, without quarrels and disputes to stay fair

The opinion of a person is important. That is why we have this forum.

I use the forum to read the opinions of others and to understand.

I do not use the forum to tear a different opinion

I hope you think that way.

SERVUS Bob

I do Bob!!! I just Hate EMI !!!!!

Think what you want......but EMI stakes the claim to most of the money genrated by Libera...which is why they need outside help to begin with.....seems they signed a bad contract to begin with.....the evidence is obvious......promote Libera videos on youtube....prohibit....live video recordings and EMI gets all the cash....while our beloved Libera is scraping to just to be heard....

This titbit is interesting as the vibe i and a few others got on the winter tour was , libera brought a bunch of Peace delux albums ( got a good deal cleary ) and then anything they made went into the libera coffee pot .

I'm missing how EMI taking the profits and there being a support structure already in place for world domination are one in the same???

With that said, why wouldn't Libera just hold all free will concerts then as they did at the Crystal Cathedral?

As I've stated earlier........the bulk of the money is made by concerts and touring.....which is eaten up by Emi........whatever the scraps are left over goes to Libera......The infrastructure is there.......or else they would not be touring period...

Libera being managed by Emi must open doors for them , so even tho it restricts what Libera can do it must be worth that hassle . Without Emi for example they could not release albums , have professional videos and promotinal videos and so on , the downside is they are resticted so they cant release what music they like and everything has to be approved by emi first . I think thats why MR Prizeman has a record lable in place as the pros outweigh the cons.

Whatever it is ..........I know Libera is getting screwd on money.....but they are being promoted by one of the biggest publishing companies in existence.....so it's a trade off...If not for EMI Libera would not be able to tour outside of Europe Period..........So they do have the "corpaorate" backing if need be........it's just EMI is not willing Let Libera have any "profit"......which is why they are a "non" profit group........but the infrastructure is there to expand and promote and become the most well know and famouse boy choir known in history........I'll end it at that....I hate typing...........
