What's the difference between T-shirt, poster or a soft toy?
Selling soft toys is what i expect off tacky people like justin bieber , its just another way to get little kids to spend more money. Thankfully Libera have an older fan base so we dont get that. Libera should not go the commercial route. They are not that kind of an act.
And if they did whats next , selling replica white robes?!

Another example, I have a soft toy that was designed for Franklin Templeton funds (BTW, really international brand). And it bears a symbolism of bull and bear markets- it can be turned inside-out (and vice versa) to represent accordingly a bull or a bear!

And the way of selling will show if it has a commercial value, symbolism or just a way of support (and I was thinking the last two could be used).
The way you represent something greatly impact on how it appears.
But of course I respect your opinionas well ! Maybe the idea isn't suitable for all cases.
