Are you also planning to see Libera in Canada, Inna?
I originally planned to go with a member from Yahoo AV forum who lives near me but my school schedule once again screwed up everything :'(

Seems like I'm gonna miss meeting everyone. I'd be rotting in the library today and the rest of this week. sniff.

For all discussions regarding merchandising, donations, EMI etc I'd like to refer to my thread about "The financial side of Libera" in the General Chat section 8) Or start a new one, just as well :)

I really wish I could be in Canada right now with you all. I truly feel torn and saddened that I can't be, also partly because I have family in Canada - far away from the Libera concerts though, but still - to think you are all there and Libera is touring there - it's almost like, I shouldn't be missing out!
It also took me forever to read the thread after the first concerts have been but I did read all posts and some reviews. Makes me feel I am there after all. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experience. It makes me really proud of Libera to hear how well they're doing :)
I really hope my wish of seeing Libera live in a church will come true one day.
Please keep up all the reviews everyone! And I hope the cold, rain and snow isn't getting to the boys' voices.

Oh yes - for all those attending either Easter mass with Libera particpating and/or their concert that day - this must be a once in a lifetime experience - please let us know how that goes. I wouldn't want to miss celebrating Easter in my own parish church singing in my own choir ;) but still - celebrating Easter with Libera must be the best thing in the world in terms of music and worship.
You raise me high beyond the sky
Through stormy night lifting me above

It's a shame the Kitchener (Centre in the square) concert is not at the end of the tour, seats are going back to Row N now and they've sold about 70 tickets in the past 36hrs. Yet Gold Circle (premium) tickets are still available for Row A. I think it's looking like Lower floor only seating and approx 3/4 full, which is still not bad.

I hope "crushed" wasn't the exact word used by whoever conveyed that message. That word to me entails some anguish and a certain amount of crying. It would be so sad if it were true. :(

I've read AV, the French forum, and some blogs and the universal consensus was that there were difficulties with the lights and sounds in the first concert. I don't see how anyone could be "crushed" with what was written so far.
Rather than focus on the exact wording it is my hope that we all, but particularly those who write for and publish blogs, reflect on how what is written and published can affect the boys in the band.
I don't think anyone involved is deliberately trying to hurt anyone's feelings but since that happened anyway, I'm hoping that we use the information we were given to become more aware before we opine. I thought Lexi did a good job of walking that line in her London review. 8)

Thank you, Tom. I think Lexi is a good writer also. You can feel her enthusiasm for Libera. :) It really was a great concert.

Other topics:

This IS a really long thread. Took forever to read it. We're at the Sheraton in Toronto and their Wi-Fi stinks. Keeps logging me off. :(

Rebecca - It WAS snowing here this morning. Can't guarantee you'll get to see snow, but it's cold and windy so bring a coat. If you're foot still hurts on Friday, we'll take care of you. Can't wait to meet you. :)

Have really enjoyed seeing all the forum members and other fans from all over the world. Wish you all could be here. Then it would be like a Libera convention. Missing meeting Inna. And Nicki, where are you? You'll be there tonight, right?

Went to the best Filipino restaurant last night. Some may have heard of Max's. The fried chicken literally melts in your mouth. The beef was reeeeaaallly good, too. Had 2 desserts we've never heard of before. One was called halo-halo. Liked it a lot. Did not realize there are 400,000 Filipinos living in Toronto! The place was packed!

Looking forward to tonight's concert!

Lauren
Lexi is definately a good writer, Lauren :). It makes me smile more than jealous inside.

Wow. It looks like you and Lexi got a good Filipino dinner with your fellow Libera friends. I'm really happy for you two now. How I wish I could be there. I would love to meet you, Lexi and the rest of the fans in person.

Well, have fun in the next concert. Looking forward for the review.

How about soft boy dolls in white robes? Back in the early 70's ceramic statues of adorable waifs with HUGE babydoll eyes rendered in adorable poses was all the rage for awhile - it will take me awhile to remember what they were called. Something like that could be done, only as a plushy doll.

I don't know what the boys would think about being rendered into plush toys though.

Some of the boys sick?

They all seemed ok and on top form tonight.

Concert report to come tomorrow I think, I'm rather tired and still....

Wow!

Need to think and reflect on the concert, so watch my blog....

Hey, thanks for pointing that out....guess I should pay a little more attention to detail huh??

Well obviously I have not seen for myself that some of the boys are not feeling well......that's what I've heard/read from reading concert reviews (from some of our trusted friends who were at the concerts) as I've stated above.........so I'm not trying to start any rumors if that's what you're trying to imply............maybe if you had written a review I would've had a better feel of what's going on in Canada.....but you didn't......so don't peddle in my replying to what I've read...

The confusement stems from their first concert at St Michaels. Some people have stated there were problems with the microphone/sound setup, other seem to have come to the conclusion that some of the boys may have been a bit under the weather.

Whatever, they have made a pretty speedy recovery, either the boys or the sound technicians as their last 2 (or is it 3 now) concerts have been a great success from what I've read.

FDL does type up reviews but over on the French forum. I guess Freddie/Cassius are becoming a bit of a comedy duo lol

This is a passage from FDL's report, it's via google translate but you more or less get the idea;
Speech Freddie + Cassius: New comic, very successful. This is the usual speech about Freddie white robes they wear, the fact that it evokes the monks, etc.. The novelty is that side of him is now Cassius, who serves as a model clothing!
Freddie said that during the intermission they drank orange juice (I think) and they had to be careful not to stain their pretty white dresses. And then Cassius with a sweeping gesture with both arms, all smiles and glowing chest forward, Tadammm! He proudly shows off his immaculate white dress! Terrible comic effect, large bursts of audience laughter. A true actor that Cassius

It continues with Freddie continues to talk about white dresses while Cassius stands next to him, including the fact that their dress had a hood (Hood), and hop Cassius is his, asked half-length, says Freddie Huge hood ", and presto, suiting the action to the word, Freddie grabs the tip of the hood of Cassius and pulls him further, so that it completely hides her hood over her face! Again great fun!

Freddie concluded by announcing the next song (The Fountain) based on a composition by Chopin, then it regains its place at the right end while the audience applauded ..... but Cassius, totally blind with his hood down to the neck, it stays there, alone at center stage! (General laugh). Then he ended up moving your head and regain his place at left, with new cheers.

A formidable duo Cassius-Freddie, it should not be sad life of the group with two of them: lol!:

A real pub laundry 80s!

Patrick the cold thing came via the Angel voices yahoo group who said that Ralph had a few coughing fits in one of the concerts, also i think Andy Winter has confirmed a few boys have not been 100% due to climate change and have had some scratchy throats.
