DVD Possibility????

Post by mintsea »

Do you Think Libera will release a New Dawn DVD like Libera in concert?
I think it will because that huge production we see in the promo. I really doubt that's just for a 5 minute promo. and they record every song too.

It would be nice, but I doubt it. It is quite conceivable that all of that production was simply for the teaser and advertisement. After all, advertising is often the key to commercial success, especially in the music industry.

Yes a New Dawn DVD would be great, but usually when they do filming for their new albums, it usually goes to the teaser and advertisements. Sometimes those recorded videos get played on TV in the UK but as TullyBascombe said, advertisement is the key to commercial success. But keep your fingers crossed!!

Maybe they'll do a DVD of one of their concerts in the U.S. That'll be cool.

..yes, either that or some kind of video log/diary of their time spent in the USA. I wonder if they will get any TV appearances/interviews like they do in Japan? Probably not, but I hope those not able to attend their concerts get some kind of feedback of their time touring America.

It would not be unusual for a record comnpany to spend more money on making the ads than on making the recordings.

Seeing as the boys will be on a tight schedule touring the US, I dont think they will have much extra time for television appearances or other things, but you never know, will keep an eye on their activities and see if I hear anything.

A DVD about their first US tour and a video blog/diary of their stay here would be nice. Maybe a production company will decide to do this, who knows this is still a possibility.

What I would like to see is a DVD of their music videos. I can only get average quality on my computer screen. And that's with the screen minimized.

That would be great to see as well. This would be a tough one to produce seeing as a lot of the older music videos are rare and most of them are low quality.

For the Bushnell Concert, it appears as if their PBS station is taking somekind of role in it. Maybe they'll record the concert and air it!!

Yes, but PBS stations purchase their programs independently, so there's no guarentee that if the local PBS station records and plays this that other PBS stations would pick it up. Furthermore I'd wonder if Libera doesn't have contracts with their usual publishers and distributors which would make it difficult for the local PBS station to legally redistribute a recording of the concert.

In order for the local PBS station there to record the concert is to get permission from Libera management, label, publishers, and distributors. This is seems like a difficult task however they may be able to pull it off. If PBS does manage to record the concert, they will make it available on air but also on DVD, however you may need to make a pledge to them. Usually other PBS stations, and I'm thinking the same ones who aired their Leiden concert, will probably air it as well should the local PBS station in Connecticut record it. Please remember that all this may be possible if PBS takes part in the concert and films it so dont get your hopes up.

Do you think that Libera will make a DVD for their upcoming summer concerts in Ireland?
