I think that Libera should definitely perform for the 2012 Olympics to be held in London. This would be an excellent opportunity for Libera to display its <<insert some really awesome nouns here which i cant think of right now>> to the entire world!
Robert Prizeman should definitely consider this, and if he thinks its a good idea, then he should start arranging something with the Olympics committee right away (i have no idea how the Olympic planning works).
Attende Domini et miserere
Quia peccavimus tibi
Attendite et miserere Domine
That would be absolutely perfect! Amazon lists Voca Me in the track listing of the official 2004 Olympic CD. Does anyone know if it was played any moment during the ceremonies?
Anyway, yes, that would be really great if they could perform. And it's in their home turf, too, so that would make logistics easier.

I dont remember that and as Libera was not there it was deffo not sung at the opening or closing cermony.
There are songs floating around out there that while having the same title as some of Libera's songs, are not the same song. Sanctus comes to mind as one of them. Lacrimosa by the Boys Air Choir has nothing to do with Lacrimosa by Libera. Same with Agnus Dei. This was just a quick search of my music files...well.... the music files a very good friend sent me for Christmas.
So, there is a good chance a song called Voca Me was in the 2004 Olympic cd but it was not Libera's Voca Me.
One sure way to see if it is a Libera song is to check the composer/arranger. As long as you see Robert Prizeman's name, then you are good to go. If you don't see it, then it is definitely not Libera.

It was part of a compliation CD released in connection with the Athens 2004 Olympics. Libera did not actually take part in the opening/closing ceremonies. Hopefully being just 14 miles away from Stratford, they will be asked to participate in some way in 2012. The whole of the bid campaign for London 2012 was centrally focused on the Youth of tomorrow after all.
Actually, I have contacted the planning/program board in London and suggested that they consider Libera for the opening ceremony. Let's hope they actually think about it.
