Here's an attempt at translating the two blog posts
(approximate only, my Japanese is so-so)

First post.

Jan 21 (Wed)
Today, Libera held a live debut performance at a church in Tokyo.
Simply being in this solemn atmosphere is as if your soul is being cleansed ...

Libera sang the theme song for this movie, "You Were There" (Japanese title is literally "Because you're there"). The miraculous sound is truly the voice of heaven!

The feeling of inhaling the sound ... tears welling ...
The sound shakes a person's heart... and is absolutely amazing!

(.... I don't quite understand the next paragraph ^__^ but I think the writer is thanking the audience for being there)

Second post.

Jan 21 (Wed)

After the live performance and stage introduction, the eight members of Libera visited the backstage of Koichi (Koichi Sato, lead actor), young Mirai (Mirai Shida, lead actress), director Ryoichi Kimidzuka and presenter Shinsuke Kasai, who had presented (the concert).

The eight members presented each of the four with a signed copy of the album "Pray ~ You Were There". Awesome!

Then everyone took a picture.

Back row, from right to left: Director Kimidzuka, Koichi, Kasai.
Front row, in the center surrounded by Libera members: young Mirai.
Then, the Libera members, from right to left:
Tom, Liam, Mini-Ben, Josh, Ed, Zack (the youngest, at 12), Michael (behind Zack), Sam.

The backstage was filled with a warm atmosphere.

Incidentally, the eight chosen members of Libera are between 12 and 14 years old;
and young Mirai is 15.

Libera praised Mirai's acting while Mirai praised Libera's singing -- cross-border, same-generation exchange between Britain and Japan.
"Movies and music have nothing to do with countries (borders)! Amazing!" Koichi said.

Libera's voice can be heard tomorrow on "Morning Call Television" on Fuji TV as well as programs on all the (sub?)stations.
Moreover, they will perform live on TBS's "Hanamaru Market"!
Stay tuned!

Nice, thanks for the links carina - some better pictures there. Looks like there was quite a presspack in force.

Cheers for the translation musey, it made much better sense :)

EMI Japan have added a few pictures too http://www.emimusic.jp/libera/news/?rssno=208" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and it seems they performed 'Sanctus' aswell as 'You were there'

Hopefully we might get to see a video at some time!

Yup, that would be great! I translated their Japanese EMI page into English using Babel Fish (doesn't translate very well!) and deciphered some concert dates for Libera's tour: April 6th, April 8th and April 9th! I couldn't quite make out the name of where they would be performing on the 6th, but I think for the 8th and 9th they will be at Bunkamura Orchard Hall, concert starting at 7:00 PM... Does that make any sense?? I mean, there is such a place, right?? :D

I can't help but notice that Tom look a little tired/exhausted in the pictures. Probably not getting used to the different time zone? or jet lag? Liam look like he's grown alot! And he's kinda tall!

Yup, there's a place called Bunkamura. You can search for it in google...looks pretty nice. I want to go, but I don't have the funds. :(

Yes, it's a large concert venue in Tokyo. They have performed at the venue a few times on their recent tours to Japan. Tickets tend to be in demand, and sell out very quickly.

I believe they appeared in a radio show this morning (Jan 23 Japan time). The show playlist includes Sanctus, You Were There, and Far Away, but I don't know if they just played the cd's since I didn't get to listen to it live.

Anyway, there's a new picture here from the radio show:

Rough translation of accompanying text

The January 23rd edition of Global Satellite featured British boy choir Libera. Of 20+ members, 8 performed "You Were There" in the studio, followed by a live improvisation of music from "Ponyo"* per request! Libera plans to visit Japan again in April for their concert, so everyone be sure to attend and listen to the voices of angels!

Is there any possibility that a recording of the radio show might surface?? They do look pretty tired... But I would imagine that they are, since they are trying to get so much done in such a short amount of time!!
