Hi Simone, sounds like you found a real interesting and worthwhile subject to study.

Contemporary church music comes in all kinds, actually what we sing is nothing like 'Open the eyes of my heart' (though I can enjoy that type of music from time to time). Most of our repertoire are pieces by Tom Löwenthal and Antoine Oomen, with words by Huub Oosterhuis. We also sing pieces by John Rutter or from Taizé, for example.
