Josh Madine would like our help

Hi, guys

I am in contact with the brilliant - and legendary - Libera alumnus Josh Madine. Any long-time Libera fans will be aware of who Josh is, and that he followed his Libera-inspired dream into a career in music, just like other alum (Liam O’Kane, Ben Crawley, Jamie Isaac (nee Tom Cully), Sam Leggett, Flynn Marks etc).

Josh performs under the name “Almanac” and he has released a few songs from his album, with videos shot by his younger brother (and also Libera alum) Matthew, who is now a professional photographer.

Josh has asked for some support via his Patreon page and he’d be very grateful for any support at all.
Josh is a lovely, polite, very warm and good natured young man who just wants to keep making his music and showcasing his talent to the world.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As I write this (26 October 2023), Josh has just turned 29 and Libera is about to begin the Yokohama concert in Japan.

Here's a little update on Josh:

• He has suspended his Almanac brand, but it will live on as a lifelong musical philosophy. He's back to being Josh Madine and his Patreon page is now at https://www.patreon.com/joshmadine/ where he would still welcome your support.
• He has "massively" increased his involvement in the creative workings of Libera. Most people already know that he plays the piano at concerts, has written two songs for Libera, and conducted the group that went to Hibaya. However, he's doing much more behind the scenes as the operational duties of Libera are spread out among their most trusted alums. What else is he doing? Become a patron and find out!
• He's been working with Rosie Putney on a music project called Laurelai.

He hosts monthly video Q&As for his patrons and has been talking much more about Libera lately. He recently had Liam Connery as a guest and has gone in-depth about his work on "The Lighthouse", "At Sea", and other works. In this month's video, he told us what he does to prepare for Libera tours. He seems much more open to answering Libera questions these days since it's now pretty much his main gig.

He also frequently posts snippets of music that inspires him with lengthy explanations as to why. Sometimes he even posts some of his own music that's not available elsewhere. Most recently, he posted a piano rendition of "The Girl from Ipanema" that was really beautiful.

I did tell Josh that he could be scoring film and tv show soundtracks since his atmospheric style definitely suits score writing. He’s a ridiculously talented musician and his mentor Rob also wrote music for tv. Been waiting for Libera to spawn a John Williams…

Josh Madine has contacted me today and asked for help in promoting his new album launch for his new music group “Laurelai”.
