I saw it last week. I'd definitely recommend it if anyone is undecided.

Interestingly the two actors who share the Artful Dodger (the principle and the alternative Billy Byers who I saw) are both older (15-17?) and sing with changed voices, which is a departure from most versions. However I think it works here because it makes Oliver seem more vulnerable so you're more emotionally invested in his plight.

People are raving about Lipkin's Fagin but the standout adult for me was Aaron Sidwell as Bill Sykes who was terrifying.

I saw the play in November 2018 and the top price ticket was £140. The same seat today is £260.

Clearly it is greed & price gouging and profiteering. No way have their costs increased by 80% in 6 years. Just like hotels in London massively increased prices to grasp back what they lost during covid, it looks like theatres have done the same. And now they are happy to carry on over charging. Eventually, they will price people out and destroy their business.
I hadn't seen any show in London before so couldn’t grumble about price increases. The price seemed reasonable to me given the price of everything else these days. I paid £110 for a seat in row 5, which is only twice the price of a seat in row 5 for Westminster Abbey Choir's forthcoming concert which will involve a whole lot fewer Dance Captains and Deputy Heads of Wigs, Hair and Makeup!

General inflation has been 40% since 2018, but services inflation in London would have been a lot more, so I wouldn't assume it's price gouging but I know nothing about the finances of running these shows.

Well what are their costs? The building which was built decades ago & theatre staff/performer saleries. They have not gone up by 40% let alone 80%. It is simply greed and price gouging which is all too common in the UK today and why the economy is stagnant.

J.M. Barrie (Matthew Morrison) and Peter (Aidan Gemme) sing "When Your Feet Don't Touch the Ground" in the 2015 Broadway musical Finding Neverland.

By the time I saw it on Broadway, Aidan's voice had changed and he had been replaced in the role of Peter. I had been lucky enough to see him in the pre-Broadway run at the American Repertory Theatre, Cambridge, Massechusetts. Excellent performance, great show. Rumoured to be a new production in London sometime this year.

Eli Tokash was also good in the role. There are videos of him performing at the White House (back when there was culture in the White House) and in a Broadway for Kids presentation.

Back in 2016, a German singer named Nico Müller included the song on an album called Musical. His partner was a kid named Maximilian Schütze. In the video, Nico has to read the music while the kid just stands there and belts it out from memory.
