I was considering this concert but my schedule doesn't allow it. Plus I'm not a big fan of much of Bach's music (I can appreciate it but it's not something I would seek out purposefully).

Yeah. If it were convenient for me, I'd go just for the rather unique chance to see them. However, since their nearest concert is 1,000 miles away, I'll pass.

Is the English name of the Regensburger Domspatzen really only Regensburg Cathedral Choir instead of Regensburg Cathedral Sparrows? :o How boring

Anyway, due to an eye surgery next week, planning is vague, but if there's a tiny, tiny, tiniest chance to attend, I will, because Escolanía de Montserrat singing a concert in Germany and me not attending, that doesn't fit. *yearn for their sound*

So in a fit of optimism, I bought tickets. At first only for two, meanwhile for all four concerts ...

Google must have official English names for things like this. It left "kreuzchor" and "escolania" untouched.

Anyway, I hope you can go. At least your ears will be fine.

The Riga Cathedral Boys Choir doesn't appear on social media very often, but they never fail to deliver when they do.

Here's their one-hour concert in Riedenburg, Germany, following their appearance at the recent Young Voices Festival in Regensburg.

Thanks to Chor Gesang Boys Choir Magazine.

I enjoyed a nice lunch and got my key for a lovely room in an AirBnB 15 minutes away from the church. I will be at the church around 5 to 5:30 pm.

I'm curious if they have previously done any concerts with this group "The Vauxhall Band" or any other period instrument groups.

I don't know if either of you would have been tempted to spend the extra night in Croydon, but I wish I would have mentioned that Trinity and Kieler Knabenchor sang a combined evensong at St. Michael's on Saturday night. Trinity posted a brief clip on their FB and IG.
