Hello folks:
I'm Kelsie, 24 years old and a graduate student in the United States. I studied and majored in music for my undergrad degree, and have loved Libera and its work since 2002 (back when Libera was still a little hard to find in my part of the States)...it just took a little longer to find this site! Many, many thanks to the moderators and creators of the site, and God bless Libera!

Hi all

My name is Urs Nueesch. I live in the north of Switzerland (no that's not sweden ;-) )

I'm electro engineer and together with my wife I have three daughters.

I first met Libera on Youtube in February 08.
As a former chorister in a convent school i was fascinated immediately.

Gathering much information and videos I also met this site with it's huge amount of multimedia stuff.

Interestingly my whole family were fascinated by the music - and by the boys.

So my middle daughter insisted to go to the concert in London.
Because she was really committed to engage in this challenge (it became her birthday wish) I decided to plan that journey.

She wanted to be sure to meet Tom and Josh as treble.

We succeded in getting two perfect seats in the second row some meters in front of the chorister. It costed us quite an effort not to take pictures an not fo film during the concert. We were clearly asked not to do - sorry.

So our cameras had to wait until the post concert signing session.

In the gallery and the video section of LD you find our records: I used the time to film. My daughter took many pictures. (This explains also the choise of the pictured boys ;-) )

By the way: We were captured on film twice: Once when we were interviewed by (Big) Ben an Steven. I another video I unintentionally stood in front of the lens of another probably frustrated filmer.

Have a good time!

Thanks to Kevin!

Regards from Switzerland
Urs

Welcome Urs - Tell your daughter she's taken some great photo's, and you took a great video too ;) Glad you managed to get to see them in concert live, and your daughter got to fulfil her dream of seeing Tom and Josh at the very top of their game.

Welcome Urs. I hope you and your family get to see more of Libera. I only wish the rest of my family would be more open to them  .

Hi Urs - Welcome to this forum. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as i do :) Funnily enough, I actaully remeber you and your daughter being interviewed by Ben and Stephen as I was in the queue immediately behind them ! I wonder what they do with those interviews??? I saw them interview one or two other people as well as 3 of the Libera boys mums. Could they be preparing a documentary of some sort?? Anyway, it was a great night indeed....

Jude.

@tcliffy: My oldest daughter complains about the fact that Libera sounds almost everytime. She sings along anyway because of the earworms ;-)

@Jude: We're also wondering what they're going to do with the interviews. My daughter ask me again and again.

Yeah, the night was impressing!

Welcome to Libera Dreams kjackson83 and Urs. It is great to have you part of The Dream Team

Urs, I am glad your daughter was able to fullfil her dreams of meeting Tom and Josh as trebles. I hope to fullfill my dream of doing the same but I doubt I will be able to seeing as I do not have the time or money :( But I am glad your daughter was able to and was able to take great photos of them 2 and you taking great video of the event. I do wonder what Big Ben and Steven will do with the interviews and all the other footage they shot. I will keep my eyes out and my ears open for anything regarding this.

With all that said and done, Welcome to Libera Dreams :)

Yes, it will be interesting to see what comes out of the interviews that Ben and Steven conducted with fans and family of Libera at QEH. Mind you they always have the video camera out when Libera are in concert, so the amount of archive material they have over the years, must be in the terrabytes!! We probably only see a fraction of it.

Hopefully one of these days those videos will be made available for viewing sometime in the future. Thats a lot of videos that could be shared, Im sure Steven will compile some sort of 'Behind-the-Scenes' video and put it up for viewing.

Im a 19 year old university student and has no clue about boys choirs but loves libera. No one I know even knows that libera exist so I feel weird being a fan of a bunch of preteen boys, But their songs bring a smile to my face. they are all I listen to now a days.

Haha! It's ok...I'm a 24 yr. old grad student (with XY chromosomes too) and love Libera's music. The important part is the joy their music shares with listeners.
