Getting to know one another

Post by whitetail1985 »

I've searched some conversation starters so we can start to get to know one another. Every once in a while we can change the subject. I'm gonna start off by asking a random question, feel free to change the question. There just random conversation starters so here goes.

If you could have any super power what would it be and why??

Don't laugh now....but to fly like Superman. Just think, I'd never need to worry about a car anymore and could actually afford to go to the UK and visit my Scottish homeland and, of course, Norbury, London.

Well, mine is somewhat similar but less tedious. Teleporting! Just like those you see from Harry Potter series.. This way, I get to travel from one country to the other very quickly and there's no need to look out for air traffic!

Oh flying would be super cool and I know if I had that power I'd have to put my underwear over my pants thats for sure

I would probably say where I want to go incorrectly and end up in Timbuktu

Super speed would have to be mine, I wouldn't need a car anymore :) And with super speed I'm sure a super fast metabolism would come with it right?? That would mean I could eat whatever I wanted :D

This is honestly, too tough for me to answer. I think about the X-Men movies and "The Incredibles" and things like that I get to be torn between flight, invisibility, and speed. I liked Dash in the Incredibles though so... Probably super speed. Or manipulating ice/fire like in X-Men.

Gah!!! I can't choose

Well, I've thought about this for two days and I think I would like to have the power to travel in time.

How did they build the pyramids? Did Richard III kill the princes in the tower? Was the shooting of JFK just a one man job?

To be able to visit any period in history and find out the truth. What a gift. Of course, it could get a bit messy if you started to chat up your own great Grandma..........

#cough# Of course being an adult male the wrong side of £( and without kids I'm not familiar with this Harry Potter, but I think the correct term is 'apparate'

I don't think I will be signing up for it anytime soon.

From all that's fair, from all that's foul,
Peals out a cheerful song.'

I, like Yorkie, would go for time travel.... that would be just awesome to go back through time and witness first hand some of the great events of civilisation.... a bit like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure  .... dude

Just three places  Wow, that's tough........

1) Egypt - I've wanted to visit for ages
2) Las Vegas - hahaha, how tacky am I (don't answer that please. I can head down to the Grand Canyon from there so I don't feel guilty :D )
3) Hmmh, I was going to say the moon but as it's limited to the Earth, I'll say New Zealand for that Middle Earth feel.
