Hooray, OneRepublic and The Fray started off here in my state!! I have to admit that us Coloradans are really proud of our music scene these days--3OH!3 and the Flobots are hitting the big time, too, and while I'm not crazy about all of their music (if I hear "Handlebars" one more time, I will scream!!) I'm always happy to support local artists.

My favorite kinds of music are classical and post-rock. I love composers Michael Giacchino and Thomas Newman, and God Is an Astronaut does incredible ambient music.

The Darkness! I remember my sister saying she was buying my nephew the album as part of his Christmas present one year (he would have been about 10). When I pointed out the lyrics in "Get you hands off my woman" she gave it second thoughts (he had asked for it by the way the little tyke :D ).

wow dude!!! ur from africa!!! holy poo dude!!! and african music. I go to a really intense choir camp every year and we study african drumming as one of our rotations!!!! that's pretty cool. :)

Anyone heard of yiruma? he's from Korea and composes new age piano music. in other words instrumental music and his creations are so beautiful. I have played two songs by him, river flows in you and Love Me. River flows in you was actually going to be Bella's lullaby in the movie twilight, but the director wanted something composed just for that movie. (to be honest with you i like river flows in you better.) if anybody plays piano and would like to play it,the sheet music is available on the internet, free of charge. I also like to listen to lots of alternative music. my ipod consists of mainly libera and other choral music, alternative (all time low, fall out boy, mcfly), rock, and classical in general.

sing like no one is listening,
