Our server company had issues with a rack at the datacentre. Our database server was in this rack which resulted in temporary loss of service.
It seems that all has now been resolved

Update Jan 30th, 8:40am PST:Investigation is continuing, as our admins check all the links to the datacenter and other possible causes. We are doing all we can to get this resolved as soon as possible. – Justin
Update Jan 30th, 8:20am PST:All personnel are notified and are rushing into position to investigate and get this issue resolved as fast as humanly possible. We do not have any new info at this time about the cause but it is being investigated. – Justin
As some of you have noticed, we had today an extended server outage. The reason was an incorrect configuration.
Together with the support from our webhoster this could be fixed and everything works now stable.
Some of you may have remarked that for some time we have problems with our server which is hosted by Dreamhost.
So lot of us
didn't receive email notifications
run in a 'Gateway 505' error while they tried to connect from a mobile
coudn't connect to the forum because the server was down
had a very slow connection
and so on
Beside this also the backend, the part where Paul and I are working to keep the forum in good shape, is a little outdated - more likely something that Fred Flintstone would like. For these reasons we decided to move the whole website, including the forum, to another hosting company and the choice fell on Bluehost. We started with this work 23th of march and the deadline for this move was planned for the 20th of june but as work went very well I think we can switch to the new Hardware on Saturday, 1st June 2013
This switch needs to close the forum for about 4 - 6 hours. So don't plan reviews ore other big posts for this date - bring them up earlier
First block of work is done. To finish the whole work I have to wait that the new DNS are working, this can take up to 72 hours.
As long this is not given there is no interaction between the forum and the website, meaning you can not do a login on the site but you can login to the forum. Enough for today
Edit:
I forgot also new registrations are not possible as long the DNS is not working. So please try it later
New DNS is working and the forum is now accessible without redirection via forum.libera-dreams.com
To end up the work on Saturday 8th June 2013
the forum will be closed from time to time for a short while
Keep yourself up to date and inform you on Twitter @Libera_Dreams about the status
