Auto-resize of images : really annoying

Is there a way to disable the "image autoresize" function ?
I looked into the user panel but found nothing about it.

Even small images like this 600*450 are not displayed in their natural appearance and need to be clicked twice to be viewed full size, first to open the image is a sort of java display, then use the magnify to finally being able to see the real image.

Such process is really a nuisance, not an improvement.
Please let the images being displayed directly at their normal size.

No, this is a 'general' setting and can not be changed by users

Yes, you're right. I changed the default max. from 500px to 600px and resized pictures are now opened with a single click in a popup window.
