I'll update this post and the title of this thread as we obtain more information, but for now we don't yet know much of anything about the album. Still, we can safely say that there will be at least three new songs, the very three new ones that were performed at the latest concert in Ely.
- Sea Bird.
- The Lark's Last Song
- One Small Voice
Now it's my opinion that we may have been spoiled on the last album with more brand new songs than what we would typically get. So while I do like being spoiled in this way , I'm hesitant to be that optimistic for this album given the history On "Forever" we got 9 of 13 songs (69%) being brand new at the time, while on "If" we had 6 of 15 (40%) being brand new. All-time low was "Beyond" with only like 2 completely brand new songs. This is of course not counting the Christmas album because, in my personal opinion, that's a separate category of album that Libera puts out; though there were many brand new songs (as recorded by them anyway) on that too.
With that said, I think it's fair to expect at least one or two more brand new songs that we've yet to hear from them out of a possible maximum of about 12 to 15 total tracks on the album. We know they frequently record songs on albums that they won't perform in concert, so there's always some surprises waiting for us.
What do you all think? Will we be getting a lot of new songs or perhaps this will be more of a compilation type of album? Perhaps more songs composed by Josh as seems to be the trend? Maybe more arrangements by Sam of already existing songs?
