Hi everyone,
A little madness tonight : "What song do you imagine Libera singing?"
Let me explain...
I'm still discovering Libera through their many songs (Thank you Libera Passion for this exhaustive list https://libera-passion.exprimetoi.net/t ... bera#26871
Their sources of inspiration are so broad (sacred, liturgical, and heroic chant, but also a lot of classical, more traditional, personal compositions, and many more!),
I had fun imagining songs by my favorite artists, sung by Libera once they had arranged them!
Have you ever asked yourself this question? If so, which song or music ?
all style allowed!
I'll start with Jeanne Added, a French artist who studied extensively at the Royal Academy of Music in London. With her song "Falling Hearts," which speaks of emotional healing and resilience, or "Mutate," which speaks of the A quest for self, for inner transformation, magnificently performed here with a philharmonic orchestra. I could easily imagine an arrangement with a slower pace and appropriate vocal harmonies!

(Other tracks from this concert are also fantastic, but you need a French VPN:

Bright eyes. A beautiful, heartbreaking song by Art Garfunkel for the British animated film “Watership Down” (adapted from a book by the same name).
Then there’s the classic “If Ye Love Me” by Thomas Tallis.
And, since I’m a HUGE John Rutter fan I would love Libera to perform some of his compositions. They’ve already recorded For the Beauty of the Earth, though that was over 30 years ago ago when Daren Geraghty (there he is below) was a member of Angel Voices.
Among my Rutter favourites is This is the Day.
And the GORGEOUS All Bells in Paradise (for Christmas). This would allow the Bigs to be more involved, which I think Libera sometimes miss a trick by not doing a little more of.
