Hi Rebecca

So glad that you enjoyed the concert and that the other “groupies” looked after you. I wouldn’t be offended by the term. I have met many of them and number myself among them. We are just ordinary harmless people whose “souls” (for want of a better word) have been irrevocably touched by Libera’s music.
At Hamilton, rather than trying to get as close to the front as possible, for the first time in 20 concerts I took a seat in the balcony. I would recommend that everyone try this at least once. It gives a new perspective and an appreciation of the intricacies of the set formations and choreography not readily apparent at ground level and there was no loss of sound quality.
I was pleased that the pastor at this venue took the time to personally welcome visitors from overseas and south of the border.
Today the sun actually shone in Southern Ontario and temperatures hit double digits for the first time since Libera’s arrival. I hope they were able to take advantage of this and enjoy something a little more interesting than movie theatres and bowling alleys (see blog).
The venue for tomorrow’s concert looks very impressive and a fitting location for the finale of this most excellent tour. I only wish there had been the opportunity to thank them personally.
Remembering that Libera’s music is very much a team effort I am trying to resist the temptation to mention individual excellent performances, there were so many, but I cannot let six consistently absolutely perfect renditions of “Stay With Me” pass without comment. Thank you Daniel.

Didn't you also have locked eyes at Epsom? I wonder if he recognized you :) (he might have been going: huh? :D) Did you wear your famous hoodie again?

Glad to hear his performance was so good, as was also the case in Epsom, which touched my heart. Not only vocally but also the way he conveyed the lyrics. All the boys do a great job at that but I remember being pleasantly surprised by his exuberance in that song. It's really become his song then, since he's sang it for two years now I think, and can bring it across so wonderfully. I hope Robert gets round to recording it with him.

I honestly dont think there is any chance in hell of us getting a recording of Stay with Me with Daniel, i managed to hear a mp3 of it a few weeks ago and Daniel is amazing but its in a lot lower key than it used to be sung ( Ed Day) and so i dont think it will ever be recorded for a cd as his voice is breaking.

@Rebecca, did you enjoy yourself at the concert :)?

Charmaine
Rebecca was having computer troubles as well and said she might have to wait to post a full reaction until she got home. Sitting next to her at the concert, I can report that she was very excited and very happy. :)

The concert itself was very good. In my opinion it was the second best of the tour so far!
Thanks for telling, tom. I'm pretty sure you both have a good time there. I guess there's no meet and greet after the concert, right?

I'm not going to pass up this opportunity, despite all the controversy surrounding this subject: is there any chance of sharing that mp3? Seeing as how chances of an official recording are so slim.

Which, by the way I don't really understand - people are still enthusiastic about his solo so logically this would be a good time to record it. But maybe I am too thinking too simple about it ;)

It just makes you wish there would be a new live album recorded these days, so many wonderful solos are being sung by a new generation (*sighs in exasperation*)
I know this is not the thread for it but - why wouldn't they just let the tape recorder run on all of the shows in a tour like this one, pick out the best versions of songs (or a full show like the ones people here are raving about) and offer them for paid download on their own website or something like Bandcamp etc. Shouldn't be too much work, would it? And it would make everybody happy. I know we would all like to see video footage as well, but if that's too much work or too expensive with things as they stand now, having audio recordings is the next best thing. Or are they so bound by EMI that they can't do something like that?

All that said, my first question still stands ;)

You are correct. There has been no meet and greet opportunity at any of the Canadian concerts.

Thanks :) I think your right, it shouldn't be something to be ashamed of. I actually had people come up to me outside, during the intermission, etc. who said they've heard of me
That sounds like it put a whole different view on the concert, although I don't feel that I'm ready to sit that fatr away yet, I might after a few more concerts.

Happy Easter!

Yes! I'm pretty sure he did remember me, and that a few of them did. I was wearing my hoodie, and I saw a few of them looking at it when they first walked out on stage. Although, this all might be in my head

I actually didn't get hit by him this time, apart from during one of the speeches, where he looked in my general direction.

I still can't believe this all happened. I'm still in shock! And still going crazy! Although that might be from all the Easter candy I've eaten today! Hope everyone enjoys the concert tonight! We've been calling people non stop since we got home on Friday, and now have about 5 more people who will be attending, and who will hopefully be Libera fans. Thanks again to everyone I met at the concert. Part of what made it so special was being able to share it with other "hard-core" fans! :)
