Re: Dream (new album 2024)
Refering the 'Dream' album on discogs I noticed something peculiar. The credited boys for the album are not the same between the UK and the JP versions. The UK version only lists 30 names while the JP version has 42 . The Uk version misses 6 mini-boys and 6 'Bigs'. Laurence Azikiwe, Tadhg Barber, M...

Re: Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
Just for fun, here are my soloist predictions (to be confirmed or disproved by the video):
Verse 1: Luca, then Caleb
Verse 2: Frederick, then Hal
Verse 3: Luca, then Ben
I know some might disagree Please post if you do.

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
After listening to the album, I was surprised at how different the sound is compared to Forever. It was probably unintentional on the part of Libera, but Morgan and his solos/voice seem to have dominated the direction of both the overall choral sound, the album theme, and the song choices. He has a ...

Re: Seabird Music Video
I'm afraid I need to walk back my previous remark  In trying to respond quickly I can see now that I didn't articulate my thoughts accurately. Indeed the lyrics are poetic and form a resonant image in one's mind. Perhaps, and exactly as you described, even a sort of childhood "fantasy&qu...

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
Resurrectio: Very confident this is Luca, followed by Morgan, then Luca and Nathan on a duet possibly. People who have better musical ears than I do - is the Morgan part definitely a solo? I agree it sounds a lot like Morgan but I thought I could here a few voices singing softly in unison and I ori...

Re: Seabird Music Video
But apart from fun and guessing games, the video has a nice story theme with Luca being drawn out of his interior minds isolation (symbolized by the library) into an outer world in which the exterior allows his mind and spirit to soar upwards like the sea bird. Of course the flip book and the endin...

Re: Seabird Music Video
Luca's voice here is just so beautiful, he's lost the brightness and sweetness of his younger voice, but retains the same control and clarity of tone. And he has gained a soulful, mature richness to his voice, with emotional depth. Seabird really captures his peak treble voice. Throughout his Liber...

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
I believe we will have Luca miming the solo in the music video, since he is in the youtube screenshot. Any other guesses for which songs will get a video, apart from Dido's Lament? My guess is that the green screen picture might be for Happy Christmas, and that the other outdoor video shot in the su...

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
I was hoping they would let Luca's 'other' voice be heard just once on a solo, but I don't think that's going to happen. Do you mean you would like Luca's deeper voice as a solo? If so, in Resurrectio, it is definitely Luca singing the beginning solo, probably recorded right around when his voice s...

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
I keep thinking that the soloist on "Dido's Lament" has to be a late-stage treble voice and not Joseph. I could be wrong since I haven't been to any concerts, but it just sounds too different to me. You could imagine the soloist saying not to forget them when their treble voice dies. Just...

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
Same for Joseph, I feel like his voice on Sea Bird (no extract provided, sadly) was different from The Lark's Last Song , a bit more operatic. Dido's Lament is in the same operatic style. I actually like Luca's extract on Sea Bird but to me the song will always be connected to Joseph's light touch ...

Re: Dream (new album 2024)
Here are my guesses. I agree that Joseph sounds different on this album compared to the last, a lot breathier and darker. I think this is due to the production and recording technique, rather than Joseph’s voice changing a lot. Seabird: Luca The Lark’s Last Song: Joseph Always There: Morgan… I actua...

Re: Libera @ Sacred Heart Curch, Bournemouth, UK
I must admit I dislike Ave Verum and am hoping it does not appear in concert or the next album. Sorry to anyone this offends   I also think that the recorded singer in the service sounds like Joseph. It is easier to hear his vocal timbre on the very loud "Jesu" towards the last ...
