With the German way to count the octaves it is a Bb'', that's the Bb under the high C. I think in English it's called Bb5 then.

And yes, the Libera rendition of this aria, the singing, both are just classy!

Surely 'Dream you of' is a translation issue and the actual title will be 'Dream of you'?
 

It would sound logical as "Dream You Of" is not grammatically correct.
But it is indeed written 'Dream You Of' on the Libera Records site.
Could 'Dream You Of' to be an artistic form choice ?
For now on, I let the official title 'Dream you of' and I will update it later if we see a change in the official site.

Dream you of could theoretically be part of a question by the singer to someone else, phrased in a poetic way as in 'Dream you of peace? ' for example? It's the kind of structure you can get away with in poetry including song lyrics that you can't really elsewhere.

This is really exciting news about the new album and I hope we get a Western release date soon. So many new songs! I would have thought Going Home will be a new recording, I don't see why they would shove an old recording on an album of mainly brand new songs, especially when they already have 13 songs which is the same number as Forever. But then I can't explain why Twilight is marked as a remake and Going Home isn't. Maybe Twilight has had some changes made to the instrumentation or harmonies?

Really excited to hear Liam and Ben's pieces as well as more from Josh and Raoul. The song list also looks exciting. I can't wait to hear what they do with War is Over and I think Dido's Lament will be great. While it's a bold choice I'm sure that whatever way they do it will show the boys to best advantage.

In the meantime, I looked the English terminology up again (although after so many years I should probably know it ) and edit the above, so: The high note in English is called Bb5.

Digging deeper into the new album and the potential for the track 'Once' is immense - I'll be honest the Liszt music for 'Lark's last song' I didn't much care for but the music for 'Once' (Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence) has so much potential for Libera to make another unforgettable track:

I wrote my post quickly and without thinking before I ran off to work so you're right to point out my carelessness. So the same lyrics but a new melody? That's cool.

I'm sort of overwhelmed by how much new content we're getting and it's really exciting! I also notice that HMV isn't selling the Japanese album yet (if it's there I can't locate it) and Amazon.jp doesn't seem to want to ship to the US

Yes, thank you. The CD Japan option, even with very fast shipping, is cheaper than HMV it appears; and the website is more friendly for a non-Japanese user so I'm satisfied with my choice. Though for others HMV might be a better option so it's good that it's available.

I think this album will more clearly represent the vision that Sam and his colleagues have for the choir and their music going forward, so I'm very interested in what they have in store for us.

This album like the ones before will be a very colourful album with the difference that more alumni contribute their compositions to "Dream". But the diversity of the music began with "Hope" already. (I will exempt "If", because Robert - I have no doubt about that - meant "If" to be his farewell album to everybody and to this world.)
​I also think that there's no need to take decisions about a certain direction, but rather go on trying themselves out with a common musical denominator though, which are their features that make their music unique, but impossible to put them into a drawer - just going on to take their choir name literally.

I think you might be reading way too much into what I said . My statement about "vision" was intended in the broadest of meanings. The vision does not signify one specific musical style or song type, but concerns how this current team approaches a new album. I'm referring to their vision of what constitutes a Libera album in 2024.

What ratio of song types/styles should be displayed, how the tracks are ordered on the album, how many brand new songs versus old songs, etc. These all display a unified and general vision for the album. In fact, we can already see that their vision includes many brand new songs as opposed to recordings of old ones.

Looks very different and original. Glad to see Josh, Liam C, Ben C, Sam C and Raoul still involved and writing for the album.

Is this a Japan only album or will it be available for us all to download or purchase on CD?

Also interesting to see that the Hill brothers’ parents are featured. While I’m looking forward to the fast developing talents of Joseph and Ben I do hope other boys got some solos before their voices transition.
I’m specifically thinking of the likes of Lewis Q, Freddie H, Thomas M, Nathan, Morgan and Cameron. This album is likely their last chance.

While searching for infos on various Japanese sites (found nothing new yet), I was wondering about the songs lists.

The tracklist varies depending on where you look and I can't figure why.

Some websites list 10 songs, others list 13, and when we combine all the unique titles, we end up with 14 different tracks.

This discrepancy is puzzling, especially since all the information is presumably coming from the unique source of the official label, Libera Records.
Shouldn’t every site have the same tracklist?

Here a tab listing 10 Sites, with an X or blank according the site presents the song or not.
Your thoughts about the cause of these variations ?

My guess (based on nothing but my own imagination) is that the original tracklist sent to the CD sellers was missing tracks 4, 5, 12, and 13 but was then corrected or changed. That would explain why the official source has those tracks, but they are missing elsewhere due to a possible breakdown in communication of some sort.

This still does not explain track 14 as it's missing from the official Libera Records source unless track 14's name is an alternate title for one of the other songs. Note that those sites which list track 14 are missing 4 other tracks from their listing. Is it possible that track 14 does not actually exist but is an alternate title (or alternate translation) of one of the other tracks?

The other option is that multiple versions are being put out of the album with variations in the tracklist. I find this option highly unlikely.
